City Spotlight

Goodview, Minnesota

Population: 4,004

Motto: A Great Place to Live

Goodview combines the feeling of a small town with that of a growing city with its close proximity to bustling Winona.

The City of Goodview began as a suburban settlement six blocks west of the Winona City Limits. In 1946, the village of Goodview was incorporated and the almost 800 acres of land then occupied by watermelon farms and gravel sites became independent. The Goodview Civic Club was organized in 1947 by men and women of the village that sponsored events including picnics and circuses. The population of Goodview has grown drastically in the last 50 years with the border between Winona and Goodview blended between the two cities.

Goodview is home to several parks and bike trails that connect to nearby bluff trails and encourages a variety of outdoor activities and exercise.
